Hey guys,

I have been admitted to the online LLM (Taxation) at Georgetown (Full/Time). My employer has allowed a reduced work schedule to accommodate the full time online class schedule.

I have been looking to eventually exit from my current employer and try and get into EY TAS Transaction Tax. Do they recruit from the Georgetown TIP program? Would I have decent chances at getting in? (I have a J.D., three years experience at Deloitte, and three years of experience as the tax lead for a $3M partnership startup that I had an ownership stake in - sold my shares to the other partners last year). My current role (I have been here about a year) is with a regional accounting firm and I do tax due diligence and transaction structuring work for M&A transactions.

I love what I do and I have wanted to continue my career in the M&A transaction tax space with more challenging and larger deals - thus why I am really looking at either EY TAS or PwC M&A. Also, do you think it will be viewed as a negative from any of the Big4 that my LLM is an "executive" LLM? It is still being completed in 1-year as I am doing it full-time.

Thanks for any insights! (Btw, does anyone know what the starting salary range is for EY TAS recruits from Georgetown?)
