LLM Admissions for American JDs

supranote1

For those who already have an American JD and have applied for an LLM, can you indicate where you applied and the extent of your publications and work history, if any. Looking to compare notes. Thanks.

Graduated from Univ. of Illinois in 2005, have been working in New York ever since (first in a V10 firm, now in a boutique). I have one publication.

That said, I've only applied to schools in the UK and Canada, as I felt like I'd done the US law school thing.

American JD third-year here. Graduating from Top 20 school--applied to University of Arizona, UCLA, NYU, and some other schools. Admitted to AZ and UCLA, waiting to hear from NYU and other schools (mostly TT or TTT specialty programs). Two publications so far in specialty journals (IP/tech law).

Went straight from undergrad to law school. During school I did some volunteer work, clerked for a small firm for 9 months, externed for a federal judge, and was editor of a specialty law journal.
