Dear all,
due to Corona, one question: does anyone have had experience with cancelling the acceptance of an LLM offer afterwards? Do the schools impose a penalty if I accept and cancel some weeks later? I ask because of the corona situation....

Yes, I accepted and later rejected my acceptance from a top US school. I hadn't paid my acceptance fee so there wasn't any consequences as such. I simply wrote a heartfelt message and explained my situation. I told them that due to the impact of covid-19, I won't be able to cover the remaining amount that wasn't covered by my scholarship award.
Personally, I believe the only penalty that may arise from rejecting your acceptance would depend largely on whether you've paid your acceptance fee. In this case, you'll have to forfeit the amount without any refund.
