Hey wannaadmit:

I applied for Northwestern too. My application reached the "complete" status in mid Jan. I have heard nothing from NW so far. I even wrote them an email, but they never bothered to reply.

So keep waiting, you are not alone.

Hi,

My name is Walter Alomar, from Puerto Rico. I applied to Cornell, NYU, Fordham, Georgetown, Loyola, Boston Univ., Miami, Delaware. So far I have not received anything but an electronic mail from Miami and Delaware requesting a letter of recommendation that was missing.

WILL LET YOU KNOW ANY NOTICE.

By the way, anyone here applied to any of the above-mentioned LL.M. programs ? Looking for a roomate or a friend.

Hi, I am intrested in NYU. I got a letter from them and I am not sure whether it's an offer or just an interview. They want me to come to their office in the early morning, about 6 am on some day. I am puzzled. I want to find roomates to. My best choices are HLS and NYU

Hey Peggy and wannaadmit:

Count me in for Northwestern. I got an email confirming that my application was complete on November 15!!!. 6-8 weeks to get the decision, huh? It's almost 15 weeks for me now with nothing. I wont go to that school, anyway.

Peggy, when did u go to Cornell?

Hey Chris,

Which program of NWU did you apply to? I apply to the Kellogg-LLM. Do you happen to know the reputation of KLLM program? Its tuition is unbelievably high.... I really hope to make sure whether it is a good investment.

I graduated from Cornell(LLM) in May 2004. How about you?

Peggy and Wangjun:

Someone I know in England who is also appying NYU got the same invitation as Wangjun's. But it is going to take place in London. My guess is that they are organizing a world tour to promote the program or law school, so inviting the prospective applicants living in the country where they visit to join the event.

One thing I can guarantee that u will get when joining that event is not the admission to NYU but free dinner! :)

Good luck!

yes, that's what you said but no free food. Because it's from 6:00 to 8:00 am, what a pity! I have to get up at 4 in the early morning. Do you know if it is an interview , or just an information event? What they will ask? Could you help me to ask your friend about it? It's my(also my circle's) first interview, I don't know how to prepare it.

Congratulations, Peggyw77!!
And, what do you think, ready to pay so much, work hard and stay there for 12 months? If you are really business oriented it might be one of the best choices. A collegue of mine was there 2002/2003 and had good offers afterwards for finance law... but it was pretty intensive, so far as I know he had no time for other interrests...

It seems as though the admission committee of Northwestern is keeping an eye on this board. :) Immediately after I complained about how long their decision making process takes, they sent me the admission email.

Peggy, congratulations for your admission to llm/kellog. It's such a nice program. Needless to say, Kellog is one of the most famous business schools of the States while NW law school has a very good reputation. But I didn't apply to the same program as you did for it is incredibly expensive. Mine is general llm.

Cornell's class of 2003-2004? You must be the classmate of my friend and juniors. There were three Thai girls going there that year. I am about to go to Cornell too in this fall 2005.

Hi All:

I have just found out about this discussion board (both of them). It seems pretty cool, but tends to make everybody a bit more nervous.

I would like to congratulate the people who got accepted where the wanted!

So far I have received offers of admission from UVa, Chicago and UPenn. I am still waiting to hear from NYU, Columbia and HLS (these three are actually my first choice ones).

Do you think that there is still a chance to get offers from these schools or all of the offers have already been made. As far as I understand the offers from NYU and HLS should be made about March the latest. But I donât understand the situation with the term in Columbia.

R you all sure about the alphabetical order of the application review or what other systems could they use?

Congratulations Peggy and Chris on your admittance to Northwestern!!! I haven't received any email from them but I guess it is now in its way...
I am still waiting news from:
HLS, Stanford, NYU, Columbia, Northwestern and Berkeley.
Already admitted to the ones I posted before.
The reason for me applying to so many schools is that I am married and my husband is applying to an MBA at the same schools, so I don't know where I'll be headed until both of us know our alternatives. Any one else in the same boat??

Hi Luke,

A collegue of mine was there 2002/2003 and had good offers afterwards for finance law...

It is encouraging to know about your collegue's situation after graduation.... She or he must be quite outstanding. Was your collegue an international student or American JD graduate? Were those offers she/he got mostly from US or home country?

I really want to work in an US law firm for at least a year....
Thanks.

Hey Chris,

Congratulations on your admission to Cornell (and Northwestern as well)! It seems that you have made up your mind to join Cornell Law community. It is definitely a good choice to go to Cornell.

I do know your friends, three Thai girls. And we had wonderful memory together!

he was from Switzerland and works now in the second biggest law firm here. Sorry, but I don't remember much further details, just know that he was pretty happy with the opportunities.
