How to ask for an extension of reply deadline?

Devil_Cat

Hey people,

I have received an offer with a grant by university A, and they want me to reply by March 1, which is obviously very early. I emailed all the other law schools I applied to, and neither of them agreed to expedite my application. What shall I do now? Can I write an email to law school A and ask them to postpone the reply deadline? how to put the wordings? I surely don't wanna make them unhappy, since I will probably go there.
It will definitely be bad if I accept their offer, then go back on my words to turn to the others. I don't wanna do this.
Please help!!!!Thanks a lot!!!T_T

Don't worry. Just be honest and tell them that you would like to extend your deadline until the date you want... That is what I did with all universities to which I was accepted (and they all agreed).

I've done the same with Fordham, but have a grant at another Uni and have not asked them, because I am afraid I might lose this grant...but I am still waiting for one uni, which would be my first choice...my question is: Why do you not accept Uni A (which uni?)? Because the others are considered to be much better?

Hum. I'm in the same situation. I was admitted to GWU, Illinois and Vandy. I was thinking of sending the seat deposit fee to one of them.

Still waiting on UCLA, UVA and UMich.

Would it be considered bad form to submit the seat deposit fee?

I realized, that they usually agree to extend the deadline...UCLA will take a few more weeks I guess..
