I m an Indian lawyer, working in Bahrain in an Int'l IP Firm. I m planning to do LLM from US (08-09). I had 3 years work exp...

I want 2 know what the US (top 20) law school look in their prospective LLM students.....

Herein I request the members who have got selected this year to throw some light on it.... If anyone could send me his CV/SOP/PS or Ref/Recmd letter, I wil b highly obliged.... By reveiwing these documents, I may b able to know evaulation standards.....

If you search around this site based on what law school you are interested in you will find all this information. Just do some searching.

I have checked most of the posts but not able to find some concrete information about evaluation criteria of US universities or students credentials.... I will appreciate & oblige if anyone of selected students could send his credentials to me so that I could evaluate myself and improve skills in order to get admitted next year....

I have received admissions letters from several law schools. What is your latest status? Have you submitted your applications for Fall 2008? If yes, to which schools; and if no, what are the plans?
I am a practicing lawyer in India and am planning to either visit USA as a Visiting Scholar in Fall 2008 or join LL.M program.

Thanx for your post... I have not applied to many universities, only to Harvard, Boalt Hall, NYU & Georgetown. Today I got offer letter from Georgetown.

NYU is rejecting my application since I am not able to provide them with official transcripts of my LL.B. marksheets. But Delhi University Officials are saying that they do not include such marksheets with Official Transcripts. Even I am not in India, I do not know what to do?

Another dilemma with me is whether doing LL.M. is worth Rs. 20 lakhs. For Harvard, I can do anything. Let's see how the things will materialize...

Congrats again!

I was admitted in AU-WCL, SMU, CWRU, Univ of Minniessotta and Washington Univ St Louis.

I got offers of partial fee-waiver from SMU AND CWRU.

Waiting for decisions from YALE, HARVARD, CORNELL, UNIV OF VIRGINIA AND VANDERBILT UNIVERSITY.

I am in New Delhi.
