Dear All, This post is being very useful.
I noticed that Harvard now has the electronic application process.
Do you think they prefer this system? Or do you think it is better to apply using the paper application?
Thanks to all!

Dear Brightest,
Thank you so much for your link! I haven't been on their website for so long as I downloaded every form required a few months ago. So I didn't know they now have online application system. Now I think I'll apply online.
Dear MyLLM_Rio,
This post in very useful indeed. Harvard doesn't say they prefer online application system so I think it's totally up to you. If you already prepared your documents in paper format, you should continue that. But if you are like me (haven't done anything yet :p ), I think it's easier to fill in their electronic application form.
In any case, good luck to you all!!

Dear Nokina,
Thanks a lot for this information!
I decided that I will apply online.
Are you going to use LSAC? Do you think Harvard prefers us to send our transcripts directly to them (in sealed envelopes)?
Good luck to you also!

Dear MyLLM_Rio,
I don't use LSAC. I still don't see why I should pay 185 USD (which is a lot of money for me) to LSAC instead of paying 17 USD each to ETS to get extra official score report and only a small amount of fee (about 2 USD each) to my universities to get additional official transcripts. I paid about 95 USD altogether for 5 universities. But if the fee for obtaining official transcripts is high in your country, you should consider LSAC.
Cheers

Dear Brightest,
Here is the link:
http://www.law.harvard.edu/prospective/gradprogram/llm/apps-and-deadlines/index.html
"Note: You can now apply online to our LL.M. program for the 2009-10 academic year by completing our electronic application, available through the Law School Admissions Council (LSAC). If you experience technical difficulties in using this service, please call LSAC's Help Desk at +215-968-1393"
It is very similar to Berkeley online application so it is user friendly to me :)

Dear All,
I have small confusion....though nothing can be done now as I hv already dispached my application.....the personal statement talks abt 2 parts and legal essay shd atleast be half (750 words) and rest is the personal background.....were we required to merge both of them....i mean I have written both things in continuation but have marked them as 'Part (a)' and 'Part (b)'.....was I right in doing that or were we expected to merge both of them and corelate both of them........plz Clarify......

I think there's nothing "wrong" about placing a small "(a)" next to your text. if this is what determines the outcome of your application, then its a farce in the first place. Don't worry, I'm sure its the content that counts and not the visual way of combining these two parts. The main challenge was to find a smooth transition between them. I've just released mine, 1.499 word and not one more ;) Good luck to us all!
Posted Nov 11, 2008 12:12
Hey thanks for your kind words.......Plz let me know wen u recieve an email confirmation from them abt the reciept of your application material........I have got confirmation from NYU and CLS but not from harvard...........
Posted Nov 11, 2008 13:28
hey,i did the same thing as brightest! i wrote Part A and Part B at the start! mine was 1472 words.
Posted Nov 11, 2008 14:45
Mine is 1557 words and I absolutely have no idea how to shrink it more :( Now I start to give up. Do you think they will really count the words? The deadline is approaching. Should I just submit it like that? or Should I have a look at it again and ignore their preferred deadline of Nov 15??
