I would try to delete some phrases if possible.
Regarding the personal statement, two different essays are required: a legal essay and a statement of purpose. Therefore, I do not think that it was wrong to divide the Personal Statement into two parts (a and b).

I divided my personal statement too. I don't think they really care about that anyways, as long as what you say is coherent and clear.
Mine was 1499 words! I don't see how they could possibly count the words, but if it looks obviously too long, you should try to delete some sentences indeed
anyways, good luck to everyone!

Hey thanks to all.......mine was 1487 words....
Dear Nokina......i would suggest you to take out 2-3 sentences that are a repetition (I mean that is already covered in other application material e.g. work exp. in detail is not required, it can be written in short in the Personal Statement)......5-10 words over and above 1500 is fine but why to take a chance by exceeding it by 57 words.....rest is upto u as I dnt really think they'll count the words..........
And hurry up.........send it in a day or 2.....all the best.......

Hi Brightest,
Thank you for your advice. I will try my best. Now I can lose additional 30 words so I have 27 words in excess. I will have a look at it again and will try to make it read as smooth as I can.
Cheers

Dear Nokina,
Visit the link given below and this I found on the application instructions given on HLS' website under the application fee subhead....
https://www.events.harvard.edu/profile/form/index.cfm?PKformID=0x1255abcd
I am happy that I helped at least somebody on the LLM thing, otherwise I have been just seeking info. and unable to provide any for all these months.........anyways if u submit online tell me how it went.........all d best.........
Do not fall for this website. THE SITE DOES NOT BELONG TO HARVARD, and the url is crafted to mislead and rip ppl like you and I who are in a hurry to finish the application. Harvard's application clearly says that credit card payments are NOT acceptable. Moreover, if you merely go to www.events.harvard.edu, you'll realize it's got nothing to do with Harvard whatsoever. Someone should report this to harvard.

hi preeti....i dnt know wat all u r saying....with due respect to ur understanding I disagree with you because i got this link on Harvard's website itself....the application instructions for 2009-10 specifically provide for online payment of application fees at page no. 5 and I have made the payment online and have received the confirmation as well.........so I would request you to check it and then delete ur board post as it might mislead ppl.......plz dnt get offended....i just want evyone to have a clear picture....all the best..........

I understand Preeti's concern and appreciate his warning. Many people get deceived by some websites and probably lose a lot of money too. However, I believe noone on this website would mean harm to anyone. In this case, I'm sure it's just a misunderstanding. Harvard had never accepted payment by credit card until this year. It's on Harvard's application instruction 2009-2010 like Brightest said. Harvard uploaded the 2009-2010 instruction pretty late so many people including me read the old instruction and assumed it was the same every year. Until Brightest told me about online payment, I went back to Harvard website and checked the instruction again (and found out it was updated - online payment became available) So Preeti, it's fine to make the payment via that link. I did it already and got confirmation from Harvard as well. But if you still feel uncomfortable with it, you can choose traditional methods of payment.
Special thanks to Brightest - without you I would still have to go to the bank, wasting a couple hours to get a money order.

I have made payment through the website link as well - it seems pretty legit to me. The description on my card statement indicates harvard too....!
I would think it is for real too but I might be mistaken.
