Harvard decisions

I know that it probably won't happen until mid to late March, but I thought I would start this thread so everyone can share...and who knows, the unexpected could happen and we could hear earlier...as Yale, Stanford, and Columbia are starting to release decisions!

how does the whole notification thing work anyway? does anyone know? Is it that they simultaneously release decisions to all applicants or do they do it by the day? I'm going to go bald soon from the tension of all this waiting.. would be grateful for any light that could be shed on this..

I am also waiting for HLS.

By the way I have read the german wikipedia about Harvard university. It is quoted that Harvard spend 3.3 Billion $ every year (fees only count for 20% of income). This is really crazy and more than Austrian's whole budget for all universities (!).

They even have 200 ppl managing the budget.

I think that is the date most of us are thinking! It would be nice if we hear sooner.

It seems that the longer NYU takes to release its decissions and the sooner HLS does its part, the more chances we'll have to decide without the "scholarship extorsion".

I agree. Probably NYU is recognizing the error of their ways! :)
OR probably they have already announced scholarship decisions and we were not included. :(

Perpahs there are more applicants than last year so it takes them longer time to finalize.

For NYU I don't think ANYONE has actually gotten admission (at least with scholarship) to any of the LLM programs (apart from NYU@NUS and LLM taxation).

Harvard sends its decisions via email on the same day to everyone! The email contains the info of a web page were you can see if you are in or not... Spring B. in Harvard is from the 14-18 of March, so the results will be sent afterwards for sure. Probably the 21 or within such week.

Good luck to everyone!

Lucy, Harvard is a surprising thing...I know people rejected by all the other top schools but admitted to HLS. Go figure...Why don't you share with us your credentials?

I'd say that being the first on your family to go to uni really plays a relevant role on the admissions comitte decision...they like 'winners'. In the other hand, the fact that you already hold an LLM degree might play against you...I think they're more inclined to offer the opportunity for those who didn't have it. Publications? I think HLS weights that as well. Anyway, good lick to you!!!

Hey guys. Its realy nice to know ur not alone. I applied to Harvard too. A re-applicant, and am afraid if re-applicants ever get accepted. I applied last year but had my transcript deliverd just days to releas of admission decisions, so I lost out, expectedly. Someone tells me re-applications hardly ever succeed anywhere. Is that true. I have double firstclass, University, 4.63, and Law School. Already admitted to NYU and Penn Law, with $23,420 and $27,500 scholarships respectivly. But am interested in Harvard. Also applied to Oxford and ths two are my best options. What say u my friends???

I'm a reapplicant as well. On this forum, a few reapplicants were accepted (if I remember well, there is even a thread on this specific topic). Given you were awarded 2 major scolarships, I would not worry too much if I were you... Anyways, good luck!
