Harvard decisions

maybe he has the march 18th deadline from nyu?? I'm not really sure.. but that seems like the most plausible scenario!

I think you are required to notify all other schools of your decision to accept a full scholarship.. at least that's what I read in a previous post

@lucy.brewer. Keep the faith! We are hours away from de decisions! It's funny how other universities have several threads on this site while in the case of HLS there's so little communication. It looks like we are all really waiting for that one, so we keep the cards close to the chest, doesn't it? Best of luck to everyone!

I wonder when that was posted exactly. They would be one of the exceptional ones to get an early answer from Harvard. I wonder if Harvard tells you straight out if you're not going to get a place, and if you get the 'we can't provide a definitive answer' if you're borderline or above it.

This guy from Germany has not marked other US universities as "rejected", so it seems the NYU theory does not apply. I just sent him a PM to try to find out a little bit more.

But couldn't he/she have been accepted by the other universities before NYU offered him/her the scholarship (if that was the case)? I thought 'accepted' meant that the university had accepted you, not the other way round. On the same token, I thought 'rejected' meant they rejected you, not the other way round.

Maybe he got so drunk while celebrating his oxford admission that he just wrote it wrongly

This thread is going to go crazy from 9am EST tomorrow. Judging from last year's decisions, many got theirs at 4pm EST. So good luck everyone!!!

Oh man my phone is going to go crazy isnt it: i get an email each time theres a new post!

hmmm so thats between 2pm an 9pm for me...oh this horrible...its almost worse having a date in mind...counting down is the worst part of this whole process. How annoyed will we all be if they buck the trend and its a week or two later!!

I visited HLS last September and it was absolutely beautiful athmosphere. Although Stanford campus was much nicer than Harvard, I would say HLS really deserves this high reputation.

admissions office said they would be expanding the number of people they admit(from 150 to 185), so I think more people will be happy this year :-)

I just spent 40 minutes reading a Harvard post from this time last year, knowing that tomorrow we will all be feeling exactly the same way they were...and in a weird way reading their anxiety filled posts has calmed me down a little!! or perhaps ive just joined them in the madness :P
