Any Chinese or Japanese applicants receive HLS admission on Friday?

There was at least one person from Beijing showing up on Friday when we started to receive the admission letters.

campos, I'm not full of hope here either, but it's just intriguing that out of the several Brazilians in this forum (some of them strong candidates admitted in top 5 schools) none has received an admission offer...

Hi, and what about the concentrations? You know, HLS provides for specialized LLMs in different areas of study, such as taxation, corporate law, human rights and international finance... Was any of the admitted students accepted to one of these fields of study?

My 2-year daughter goes as well as Polish representative but most likely she will attend pre-school at this stage :)

Kasia, in that case, I don't think she is going to be part of this list :) India still gets the first place in admitted candidates! Anyway, I also have a polish girlfriend (she lives in Gdansk). If I get admission (most likely not...), that would make 4 of you guys living in Cambridge! Best regards!

We're from Krakow (south of Poland)
still hope to see you at HLS, there seem too few people admitted so far so we keep our fingers crossed
K.

A TONNE of Canadians apply to Harvard every year (for obvious reasons - proximity / prestige). But there hasn't been one confirmed admitted Canadian as yet?

Hi Guys, I just want to wish you good luck in the following days. I think there will be some clarification on the test email mystery soon. Anyway, I note that there are some really well qualified people here that are still waiting. So keep your hopes up; most of the admission processes I went through were completely unpredictable. And you are right; it doesnt make sense to ask for email addresses for future correspondence if they are going to reject you. Also, given the number of responses on this board I don't think that 150 people have been informed already. Hope you will be part of the 2006-2007 class too!

I'm from Brazil and applied to the International Tax Program. I haven't received any news since that email saying the admissions decisions would be made on the week of 20-24 march.

I was accepted to NYU (International Taxation) and put into the waitlist at Upenn. No news from Columbia, Georgetown, Yale and Duke, besides Harvard (of course!).

I agree with Paula that it is strange that no Brazilians have been admitted so far, specially considering that we have a lot of good applicants.

Do you think that applying to a given specialization matters on when/if you received test emails and admissions emails ?

Moreover, any of you guys who got admitted applied to the International Tax Program?

Campos --

If nothing else offers some promise that all admissions have not yet been made known, it is that no Americans have received one yet...unless, as you say, there are none on this board.

Still clinging to some hope for tomorrow...

I noted some canadian being admitted to HLS in another post (the one on jurisprudence and oxford or something)

I am sorry, but I am working on a bit of a boring paper and I seem to be unable to stop myself checking this board again and again. So that explains my useless contributions.
