when you click "reply to this post, you are taken to the reply window. un-tick the box next to the sentence that says "receive email notification of replies to your post."
then send a check for $100 to the UN to help out the gaza efforts.
then you won't receive any more e-mail notices when someone replies to the thread. :)

Haha, how are you going to pay the course fees then?
I think you should only get one email notification about a reply. If not, you can stop notifications for a particular thread.
The email sent by LLM-Guide says:
There may be other replies in this thread, but you will not receive any further notifications until you visit the LLM GUIDE Discussion Board again.

So all you have to do is turn off notifications for endless boring threads like this one :-)

Is anyone still waiting for the second e-mail confirming that their application is complete?
All of my friends who applied seem to have received this. I have not. I sent an e-mail to the LLMQuery adress but received an auto-reply which states that they cannot confirm completion of applications by e-mail. But this is the precise problem. What should I do - call them?
Thanks!

Guys I think...the university people have divided the applications country wise. So country's with large number of applications are taking more time than those with lesser applicants.
I derive this reason from the fact that all the universities look for diversity and each country has been allotted a specific number of seats. So for example, am from India.....my application will be considered and weighed with those from my country and reviewed by the same committee.
Drawing the same logic and for administrative convenience even the task of completeness of the applications are assigned to same set of people. Thats why applicants who have received the "mails" are from the same country.
The aforesaid logic has been derived while checking my mail for the umpteenth time.....any illogical logic may kindly be excused!!!!!!!!!!

I am not sure about that legal-eagle. I am from Turkey, I dont think there are more than 10 people applying from my country and I still have not recieved the second e-mail. It may be that the division is not country but region wise, then I would ask the question: Any ideas which countries Turkey is being grouped up with?

Hi guys,
just wanted to clarify an issue I have raised in this thread and I have seen raised somewhere else as well.
I was afraid that my TOEFL score was not good enough for HLS, having only 23 in the speaking section.
Well, I called them up and they said the speaking section is the most subjective part of the test, so the minimum score for that part it's not a strict requirement. In my case, they said the fact I had studied in US for one year as exchange student offsets my lower score in that section. What a relief! I hope this is helpful for other people who are concerned for their speaking section.

Welcome Elbing........yeah we all are waiting!!!!!

still no second email from HLS.......... WHY?!?!
Posted Jan 13, 2009 07:01
There are many of us who haven't received the 2nd mystery email. I reckon that the staff at HLS are overwhelmed with all the applications. Just give it time guys. (I received my 1st email in mid Nov and haven't heard anything since then.)

That's right, give time to time guys! I guess I am not the only one who gets nervous/excited every time someone writes on this or similar threads....so let's not misuse them!We have done our job, now just have to wait for their decision. Please let's forget about this for a month or so! We should just create a new thread about confirmation/acceptance emails at the due time.
Best of luck,
Nail

No second email for me... more than 2 months since the first one...
Posted Jan 18, 2009 04:16
I got 2nd email from HLS but it shows that some of my documents are missing.
So, I sent the requesting things right away and then I got auto-reply from HLS.
I wonder that you guys think that HLS consider english proficiency the most? In my oppinion, they tend to prefer foreign lawyers to others. Some people said that they allocate spaces between lawyers and non-lawyers. Because I'm not a lawyer in my country, i'm a little bit nervous... how do you think?

Guys we are moving towards the end of January. Is it possible that some amongst us may get the admission offer right away or is it that the results will be declared in the month of march????
