Even I am waiting for the famous second mail!!!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR GUYS.

Dear All,

I received the second email 2 weeks back and very few have received it till date......so dnt worry and dnt expect anything this week.....i think they will start with the reveiwing process somewhere by the end of this week....nobody works at this time.....so just enjoy the new year and take a chill......all of you will get the second mail early next week.....

even i haven't received the second mail... but as there are too many of us here only, so no need to worry.. ;)

if you have received an 'application complete' email from another institution you are applying to - then I would assume your Harvard application would be fine as well. Most universities require more or less the same documents.

Anyway, there is still more than 100 days before decisions are mailed out so I wouldn't be too worried!!

Might I ask you when you sent you application and when did you receiveid the first email?

I sent mine on Nov. 1st. and receivided the first email by mid. Nov. I have sent emails and calling asking about my apps, but I have obtain nothing.

I know that there are many applicants in the same shoes, but that soesnt avoid my anxiety.

My application was received on the last day 1.e. 1st December. Got my first mail within a weeks time.
Second mail, I got on 1st Jan.

Might I ask you the following:
1.- Did you used the e-application or the paper one?
2.- Did you use LSAC for your transcripts?
3.- When did they received your rec letters?

I am asking you that because I use the e-app (nov 1), Lsac and my rec were received the first days of Nov., but, I haven't received the second email.

Hey Jenny... i used the paper application and mailed the transcripts and reco's with the same.

Just got the second email (the "complete" email) yesterday! I guess they also work on weekends...

i still haven't gotten the second email. i got the first one on Nov 13th.

Me too, have not received it but I am not too worried as another university I have applied to have sent me that email. The documents I have submitted are more or less the same so I would assume my Harvard one is complete. Also, even if it is not complete, I think they would send you an e-mail telling you that! :)

Just wait abit, I wouldn't panic until early February 09 given there is still some time before decisions are released!

On a side note, does anyone think the economic downturn would affect the amount of financial aid extended to us this year?

Hey G...yeah you right about the "complete application" mail. I am positive that by the mid of january each one of us will be getting the MAIL. HLS people are even working on the weekends, so....................
Well as far as financial help is concerned, it surely will not be affected by the economic slowdown but I have my reservations about the loan aspect of it.

Thanks for the answers people. But my question was a bit different. What about Stanford's application complete e-mail? As far as I understand there is still a bunch of people that did not receive HLS's e-mail but what about SLS's? I still did not receive that one too, so I was wondering whether there are other people in the same position.
