I am writing to you in response to your request for an early admission decision from Harvard Law School. I understand that you have received an admission and scholarship offer from NYU Law School.

Unfortunately, we are unable to provide you with a definitive answer before March 15, 2007. If you cannot get an extension until at least March 22 2007, then I would have to strongly advise you not to give up the scholarship package offered by NYU for the possibility of being admitted to Harvard Law School.

Let's hope so... I am still not quite sure if the above mentioned e-mail has to be seen as a "polite rejection" or as an "undecided". Is there anyone who received a clear rejection in reply to a his or her request for an earlier decision?

am in a kind of suspended state. the sooner i know the result, for better or for worse, the sooner i can get on with life!! am tempted to e-mail HLS although i know i will only receive the standard answer-wait for 22nd:)

Well, you might give it a try... But are you sure everyone who asked for an early decision received the same standard answer? I also red a post of someone who was told she was admitted.

i think those who got affirmative answers had really really stringent deadlines (like the fella with a 48hr choice btn NYU and HLS). and they all made phone calls. i only applied to HLS so i dont have a "bargaining chip", and the precedent points to e-mails receiving the standard 22nd answer. and am too afraid to call:)

i am going crazy.
i only applied to harvard to, and feel as if my life is on hold right now.
Just because I dont know if I need to look for an apartment in Cambridge , if i need to move, if i need to apply to other second choice colleges.

It feels that they keep pushing the date back, and that I will not know untill next week!

Does anyone know if there are any Dutch students admitted to Harvard's llm?

lol, i see am not the only one who has the llm guide page open all day. i have a feeling the first letters will be received tomorrow or wed! then it will really hot up!

got that auto-reply! i guess there is no getting round waiting for the news...on paper!!

The auto-reply comes for every1 - I had mailed them in Feb - got the same auto-response which was followed up by a reply in due course on the same day. They had told me back then that there are in fact no early admissions & that they would only come in mid march

I got an email from Harvard about 30 min ago. I'm in. And that was just 4 hrs after I received a call from Yale telling me I'm admitted. Crazy stuff. I'm skeptical by nature and this just seems too good to be true.

I did not get any email from HLS so probably I´m not admitted. Going to Stanford!!! Congrats to all!

From the posts here, it appears that all the acceptances were sent out at the same time. My friend didn't receive an email, so she called, and was told she was waitlisted. If you still haven't received anything, I would suggest calling. Good luck!!
