Harvard 2021-2022

What are the chances that classes will again be held completey remotely next year?

The Covid FAQ section in the website reads:

What will the instruction modality be for the 2021-2022 school year?At this time, our expectation is that Harvard Law School’s academic programs will be on campus during the 2021-2022 academic year, but note that the school’s decisions regarding teaching modality will continue to be guided by public health considerations.

I am actually a bit worried that this will not necessarily be the situation. As opposed to most other schools, HLS have been fully online this year and they have explicated this choice quite throughly - relying on equality and interference with the Socratic teaching method when taught in hybrid mode.

Thus, I think that if things will not drastically change soon, it could well be that at least the first semester will be fully online again (as I doubt they will choose hybrid mode and for school to go fully in person there are more things that need to happen).

Obviously these are just my thoughts so feel free to correct if you have any other ideas.

Yeah I always thought it was a long shot just because they are so selective. If anything I’m excited for either result cause it will help me make a decision on my other offers.

I have only applied for the Harvard LLM. I have a law degree from Oxford and Magic Circle and US law firm experience (five + years). Harvard is a long shot but has been a dream for some time, so we shall see! I have a feeling today might not be the day, though hope we will hear this week...

Does anybody else consider getting in to HLS so remote a possibility that they're not nervous about it? I feel like that's been my attitude from the outset, which has helped me not get stressed at all about it, though i understand why those who firmly have their sights on harvard would be getting nervous around now

I think you are literally a shoo-in, great credentials!

The only downside from your profile I can see might be them questioning why after 5 years of heavy-duty private practice are you pursuing an academic degree, but as I'm certain your PS dealt with that - you'll have no problem.

Fingers crossed.

Nope! Based on past years, it is likely that the results will come in sometime this week - probably earlier in the week. It is costumary for results to come out on a Monday, but there is no sign that this must happen again this year. Just an informed guess lol

I, too, was very much expecting it to come out today, but now it looks kinda unlikely! It's almost 4 o' clock in Cambridge, MA, and things still are "radio silent".
Tomorrow or sometime this week is extremely likely, if not today. They prolly won't take it beyond Friday.
Still hopeful about today itself, (al)though, meekly (:

Long story short, I might not get into Harvard but I won $100 betting against decisions today (despite the high odds) @Leaut 1f602

Cool, betting against. 50$ if you win, 80$ if I win. Such stakes since the odds are heavily stacked against me.
Good luck @Lawyerke!

Judging by the following, anytime in the next two weeks :)

"20. ADMISSIONS DECISIONSAll admissions decisions for LL.M. applicants will be released in the online application system at the same time, typically in late
March. Once the decisions have been reached, you will be notified promptly and will be able to log in to your Status Page to
check whether you have been admitted, denied, or placed on a waiting list. "
