Hello all, do you know if scholarships have been announced?
I applied to the International Arbitration Scholars Program, but still did not hear from them.

Nope, I believe I was admitted in early January, and scholarship offer was made on 1 March. Applied via regular cycle.

Yes! 30k. Anyway, I think I'm going to decline enrollment, so maybe they'll offer the scholarship to someone else! So good luck to those who are still waiting!

For those who received scholarship information— did that information come with your official acceptance letter or by email?

I haven't either. But they offered me a $25,000 merit scholarship anyway which of course is not enough but it's still nice being considered from Georgetown. Personally I think students who were offered that scholarship were already contacted. That is just my opinion though since April 1 is the first tuition payment deadline, students should had been contacted already if they got that scholarship don't you think? And I'm also a bit unsure if you can get two scholarships. So if you got a merit scholarship, probably you are not going to get the arbitration scholars one. I guess they offering you a merit scholarship might be their way of letting you know you didn't get other ones :D.
Still I don't really know. You should email their admission office (the one which sent you your acceptance news) and ask them about it. I don't plan to contact them since for the moment I got my mind set that I really want to enroll (unless I change my mind, which can happen :D) . If they respond, if you can reply back what they said, I'd be grateful. Thanks in advance and good luck!

Hello guys, I applied in mid January but havent received the "alumni interview request". Should I be worried?
I don't think you should be worried at all. I think interviews are for borderline applicants (like myself). I received an interview, but I personally feel as if my application could have gone either way. I also got accepted about a week and a half after my interview.
Anyways, you should hear back soon! Don't worry too much about it.
Congrats to you! I feel like early action definitely gives you a leg up! Im currently waitlisted and I’m agonizing over it. What makes you say you’re borderline?

Hi! I just got a 15k tuition waiver to attend the LLM in International Legal Studies. Georgetown is one of my best options at the moment, does anyone know other sources of funding or perhaps a merciful soul which has decided not to enroll willing to reject a waiver in my favor? Haha
I could apply to a scholarship but has a 50k cap, so would still need around 30k to attend.
Thank you guys!

Does anybody know how open Georgetown is to asking for an extension to confirm your LL.M. application? I was accepted in January and need to respond before the end of March (doesn't matter if you are a part-time student or not), but still waiting to hear back from NYU which can take another month or longer as the application period is still open for part-time students.

I do think so too! I felt like I was a borderline applicant because I was only top 30% and only took one tax class because my school didn't offer many tax classes. I participated in the Tax Law Society and VITA during my law school years, but that was all the tax experience I had.
However, I had letters of recommendation from my dean, tax professor, and a supervising attorney I worked with. I feel like that and my personal statement/diversity statement helped round me out.
Hopefully you hear back soon! The first deadline is right around the corner and I would assume that some people are going to decline their offer!
