Have GULC issued scholarships yet (for international students-not the tax course)-it seems hard to find info on this but if some people already have received $ then I can stop hoping and start plan b!

Should we do anything to be considered for FinAid? I was admitted for the Intl LLM but I am also a little lost on the scholarship (there is so little info...)

It depends. All students are considered for partial scholarships and those should be issued in late feb - early march. Although, if you are applying to Tax, Global Health and Ibel (that last I am not positive) you have to write an essay about the suggested subject. But it should've been done by Feb 12th.

Some of the links that might help you are:

and so on!

Hope it is useful! Have fun!

Thanks rbellaver- I will have to wait and see, at least there is a chance if decisions haven't been made yet!

Hi guys.

I received an e-mail from Georgetown last Friday. I was awarded with the Graduate Tax Scholarship -- full (100%) tuition scholarship. I am very excited!

I am not sure if all the scholarships are handed out in the same day though..

Regards to all of you

I also received the $10,000 scholarship (on February 25th, following my offer on January 29th). I have solid but not spectacular academic credentials. However, I went to very good schools and have very good work experience.

Sorry for the delay responding !

Unlike jamesb, I do not have a good work experience. When I applied, I had only three month of professional experience in a law firm.

However, I attended very good law schools in France and I have excellent academic credentials (ranked 1st, high honors, granted with merit-based and need-based scholarships each year, won 1st prize in a competition...).

Furthermore, when I received the official mail of admission, it was handwritten that my personal statement stood out from the rest. It may have contributed to the partial tuition scholarship.

Thanks - sorry for being so curious, but did you supply supplementary information to Georgetown for this financial aid?

I emailed them, and they said they have already extended all available scholarships for Fall 2016. A huge deal breaker!

When I wrote to them on Monday, they informed me that scholarship decisions are still being sent and that they're being decided on a rolling basis.
If what you say is true then it's damn worrying.
