Georgetown Admissions 2017-2018

Has anyone heard of an applicant getting an alumni interview and then not getting an acceptance letter from Georgetown (Tax LLM)?
Or is an alumni interview a good indicator of getting accepted?

Dear llmstudent1234,
I am sorry to hear that. I wish you all the luck in all you applications!
According to LSAC's report, my transcripts were considered "Above average", and I had an almost 9/10 GPA.
I have a high TOEFL score as well.

No, my Toefl score is 109... but if it's any consolation, I took the test, 98 score, studied for a month after work for toefl, did it again and scored 109.

Hi everyone,

I got an e-mail from "Georgetown Law Center ", sending me an invitation to the 2017 LL.M. Admitted Student Open House.

I then was able to access the "Georgetown Law - Admitted Students Website ".

These are all well and good, if only for the fact that I haven't received any formal acceptance e-mail from Georgetown. Does anyone else have this experience?

Am I to assume that I have been accepted since I was sent an Admitted Students Open House invitation and was able to access the admitted students portal even if I have yet to receive a formal acceptance e-mail?

Hi Bhohr,

I did, but the current status indicated is merely "Application Completed", and I don't think they update the decision status there. An e-mail from Georgetown says "once the status check page indicates that an application is complete, it will not update again, even once a decision is made."

Anyway, thank you for the reply. Was just wondering if anyone had a similar experience. Might just have to reach out directly to Georgetown. Thanks!
