Hi,
I'm a young french lawyer in Paris and I'm thinking about applying to the LLM of Boalt Hall next year (for august 2008).
I would like to have some information about the selection : can anybody give some advise for the selection and do you know the chance of success for French candidate ?
(if you know some french student, it would be great !)
Thank you !

Hi Abyssa,
While I'm not french per say, I have received a french legal education, the same program as Paris II's (same Licence program and I hold a DEA from there too). This is to say that we share the same civil law legal background. This also applies for all Lebanese LLM candidates as we are taught here the french law (in french too) on which our legal system is based.
The success rate seems as good as anyone else's. I personally know many "francophone" LLM candidates who completed their studies with flying colours. However your english had better be good :)
I have already applied to Boalt Hall (among others) but still no news. Until now I've been accepted in BU's banking and finance LLM.
Des fois il faut juste se lancer dans l'aventure ... tu sais les "frenchies" sont assez apprecies aux " 'states" (a prononcer avec l'accent de Gad) ;)
