Dear All,
I would like to have your opinion on which LLM Program is better between the one offered by Fordham and the one offered by Hastings.
I would like to study International Comparative Law.
Kind regards.

Hi,
I just finished the LLM program at UC Hastings, and I will tell you about Hasings.
I can recommend the school, but not the LLM program itself.
The Hastings degree is called "US studies", but you can get a "specialization" certificate if you have completed 12credits in a specific major subject, such as international law, I.P., or tax law. I'm not sure if comparative law is one of them.
However, as I mentioned, I can NOT recommend the LLM program itself. The director of the program is simply a tactless jerk, who managed to insult half of the LLM class. But more important he is very self-oriented and a bad advisor (academically and professionally).
The school itself is a good one, with some outstanding professors, but it did not make sense for me to join a program where I avoided to see its director.
Good luck

Me and my boyfriend just graduated from Hastings and we would like to support this program and especially its director.
I can ensure you that Bronzemoon speaks only for himself and not for the majority of the Hastings LLMS
This was a challenging and intellectually rewarding experience. The professors are all well renowned in their field. We really appreciate the commitment of the university staff toward the LLM and particularly the LLM director who was always available to support and advise us.
Personally all the advice he gave me for my classes were
more than helpful. As a teacher, he organised make up classes especially for the LLM.
We just want to add that we loved this year in Hastings and strongly recommend this llm program.
