I sent an e-mail yesterday to NYU and they answered me today that by today (April 1st) they will be mailing all the Commitee's decisions.

I am from Chile and last monday I received the admission letter from NYU.

I was wondering if there is a waiting list for NYU (and if it's mentioned in the letter), since i was told that several candidates reject NYU's offers. What happens then? They call people on the waiting list by email?

i got my package and acceptance letter from NYU yesterday...i.e the 4rth without a previous mail.....so i'm thinking they're still sending out packages......i have a question.......my acceptance letters and packages..both from NYU and Columbia...neither mention which llm program i've been enrolled in...is that weird? or will i find out later???

spboy: yeh in my letter nyu said that if i wasnt accepting their offer then i should let them know asap so they can call the people on the waiting list.....

srk, where are you from? do you think that geographical location would matter for receiving letters sooner?

i'm from pakistan......at the other end of the world.......so yeh i think geographical location does play a role.....but i got my accptance no and i read on this forum that some people got them early march....and some are still getting them...so dont worry....wait a little longer...hopefully your shuould come through also.

I've just called NYU and I've been told that a letter has been sent to me on April 1st. They don't give any information on whether it's a letter or a package or whether it was sent by regular postal service or UPS. So, since I still have not received anything yet, I cannot be sure if it is an admission or a rejection. Did anybody receive a rejection by mail recently?

After reading all the messages I feel that my chances are close to 0:-(( I was told that a decision on my application was sent on April 1 and I haven't received anything yet. Since I am in California, I should've got it long time ago, if it would've been acceptance. Probably, they have accepted enough Russians for this year:-( My congratulation to Matreshka!

Im from Mexico, I have applied to the LL.M. in International Taxation. I have a mailing address in California and have not received anything yet.....I called the admissions office and was told that a package was sent on April 1....does anyone no if the acceptance letters were sent earlier and the rejection ones latter????....or is it just random???

The only guys I saw here receiving any letters were about acceptance and all were about ILS or Taxation. So there are two possibilities:
1) All acceptances have been sent and from now on it will be rejections;
2) All decisions on ILS and Taxation have been sent and from now on it will be on other fields.

A friend of mine received a rejection letter last Friday. It was send by UPS.

Both a friend and I received an admission packet for the LL.M. in Corporation some time last week (France).
