Why not? Unless you anticipate re-applying in the future? If so, I would recommend a pleasant rejection letter...

Dear Madam, Dear Sir,
After thoroughly reviewing your offer of admission to the NYU School of Law LL.M. program, I am sorry to inform you that I am not in the possibility to give a positive outcome to your offer for the 2009-2010 academic year.
My decision was not easy. This year, I received more than 5 offers of admission from different law schools in the academic year LL.M. program. As a result, I must exclude a great many highly-qualified schools.
You are to be congratulated on your accomplishments, and I hope that you will have enough other acceptances. If I remain your first choice you may wish to consider giving me a full tuition scholarship and kissing my feet for several hours.
I am sorry that this letter must convey disappointing news. I appreciate your interest in my impressive curriculum and wish you much success in continuing your efforts to become a better law school.
Sincerely,
Me

Thanks Santa for this good laugh.
My suggestion would be:
Dear NYU*
*Not Your University.
Kindest regards,
Hedek

Prospective...each and every school will ask you to withdraw other schools pending application/offers before you accept their specific offers, so that one candidate should not occupy multiple seats based on their pool of acceptances. In any event you'll finally attend only one program in one academic year. Therefore, go for the best offer and decline others..

ahahah santa

I'm also about to decline NYU and I think I am going to send an e-mail to the account specifically for admitted students listed on the admitted students website under "Contact Us"

@lastlear, the thing is I hold conditional offers from the UK unis. To be on the safer side, I don't want to decline an unconditional offer from NYU just yet...Eventually, I may like to go to LSE...
Posted Apr 10, 2009 20:58
You're welcome guys! Keeping the good atmosphere now that almost no one has to worry about not having any good offer :)

@ Santa, true, that was insanely funny!
