Has anyone heard back from Cornell yet? I had an email on December 4th telling me my application was complete.

I also received an email from them. I doubt we will be hearing anything more from them until about February, but that is just speculation on my part.
I dont know if you are aware but you can also track the progress of your application online.

When they respond, will they be responding by email or by snail mail?

Not sure. according to their direction online, they will give u an answer 8 to 12 weeks (2 or even 3month???) after they confirm the completeness of the applcation materials and the decision will be mailed to you. It seems it will take a long time.

They will send you a letter through the mail, not via e-mail.

Hey, guys!
I applied to Cornell in mid December. On January 8th, I was informed that my application was complete. And in late January, I received a letter offering admission.
Good luck to you all!

The question you ask really depends on a lot of issues and the list of questions below is not an exhaustive one:
1) Are you mainly concerned about rankings and reputation?
2) Would you rather live in a city or in a secluded town but with a very beautiful campus?
3) Are living costs an issue or are you indifferent?

Based on that response; you would probably flourish at Upenn. It ranks higher than Cornell, furthermore it is based in Philly which is a city; I would imagine however that it is more expensive to live there than in Ithaca but dont quote me on that.

LSE has got an outstanding reputation. I would definitely recommend it. But it really depends what you want to study and how this institution furthers your career.

Is anyone else still waiting on Cornell? Has anyone started getting rejections? I am keen to start prepping on going to wherever I need to go and am still waiting on Cornell.

I havent received a reply from Cornell yet. Maybe it's because I applied pretty late (end Jan).

I applied in mid October and heard nothing about them. I sent them an e-mail regarding that I still have 2 deadlines from other universities and they recommended me patience:)

I'm gonna give up my slot at Cornell today, so at least one other spot should open soon. Good luck!

Thank you very much. I think I stuck in their country quota:)
