the waiting is killing me..

I swear! Why don't they let anyone know. It's been a month and a half since I applied. :(

I applied 3 months ago and received the application complete email more than 2 months ago!

I wonder why Columbia's process is so random...

I think the wait till March is inevitable.

The school has started sending out decisions to some regular applicants.

I applied under the regular track and received an offer 2 days ago by email. My credentials are not particularly impressive and I agree that the decision making is somewhat random.

Congratulations Poonchoy! I agree, it is totally random. I have friends who were exceptional candidates and they weren't accepted until the end of March last year. The first time I applied (back in 2006) I wasn't accepted until May. It's painful but we just have to wait.

As I said, it's not spectacular. I graduated with a 3.3/4.0 GPA from a small asian law sch. Worked for the local office of a medium size regional firm for 3 years doing corporate finance.

Applications and all supporting documents for the 2011-2012 academic year must be postmarked no later than December 15, 2010. Applications postmarked after this date will not be processed. Admission decisions are made on a rolling basis, in most cases no later than late April

I applied fairly early on. I received the 'application complete' notification email from CLS sometime in the third/fourth week of Nov.
