Thanks IHTA! Actually, I'm also confident we'll receive positive responses because many people from the regular cycle who have been contacted a while ago by the admissions office have received rejection letters (maybe due to lack of some mandatory application requirements like low TOEFL scores) so now it's time for admission offers to go out!

Sapphire, keep heart. March 22 is right around the corner. :)

But I have to say, when Columbia means April, they mean it. :(

Congrats Raven, that's great news!!! I've heard Columbia doesn't give so much fin aid as NYU, for example. Were you an early admission applicant? On the other hand, has anybody heard from Columbia these days?

Hi, did you get an email to say you have until 30th March? I have a 22nd March deadline to accept Columbia but am still waiting to hear from other schools so would people recommend emailing to request an extension to the deadline? I know on the website it says that they won't extend it. Thanks!

For those that are still waiting for a response...

I received the following email from Columbia's Office of Graduate Legal Studies:

"Dear XXXXX:

Thank you for your application for admission to Columbia Law School's 2011-2012 LL.M. Program. This year's applicant pool is among the largest and most highly qualified in our history. We have received over 1700 applications for our entering class of approximately 230 students, so competition for admission has never been more keen. At this time we are unable to make a final decision on your application, and have placed you on our waitlist. We will be able to finalize your status later this spring.

In the meantime, we ask that you confirm by reply e-mail that you would like to remain on the waitlist. If you make other plans for next year, we would appreciate your letting us know so that we can withdraw your application appropriately.

We thank you for your interest in Columbia Law School and for your personal investment in our selection process.

Sincerely"

I confirmed by email my interest on Columbia LLM, but also I informed them that I was already admitted in others Universities...So they responded me that they will try to have a decision before the deadline I mentioned.... this is very unusual for Columbia, isn't is?

As far I know they don´t have waitlist, and they didn´t say anything related to wait that a sit would be available.... Anybody received the same email?

I got an e-mail today requesting an additional letter of recommendation - an academic reference from a professor, who had taught me in class. I had only submitted professional references. Has this happened to anyone else?

Actually it may mean good news! Because its kinda late in the admissions process for them to ask for an additional recommendation letter, if they were'nt interested in admitting you they would have simply sent you a rejection letter! So cheer up!

I'm going nuts waiting for an email from CLS! Anybody heard from them these past days???

I'm very surprised. But it's definitely a good sign. Atleast you're not rejected out and out. All the best, Hope2011 which is a very befitting name for all of us. :)

I remember past threads were people said they had been waitlisted... I know that the early admission deadline is next week, on the 22nd I think, so after that definetely we'll all get answers!
