Columbia LLM - 2020-2021 Applicants

Has anyone heard back from financial aid / has an idea of when decisions will be released? I applied early review and got admitted mid-December, so I'd expect some early review applicants would start hearing back by now since they are on a rolling basis

I received an email last night stating that might application is now complete and ready to review. I guess, we should receive decisions shortly.

not yet, my welcome pack letter mentioned they will be coming in on a rolling basis "in most cases by early April"

Hi everyone! I got accepted on the early review period. I know it is a dumb question but my anxiety forces me to ask it. I have not accepted the offer yet because I am waiting for a response by HLS. However, do we all agree that the only requirements for the acceptance of the offer and ensuring a spot is the two deposits due by April 1 and 15, right? There is a button that says "Make it official" in the Admitted Students page which has raised some doubts in me. Thank you all!

Thank you for this and well done. Anybody else who submitted their application in December and has received admission/regret email?

In my case, I was deferred from early review and no news since then. Anybody else from the deferred cycle in the same situation?

Congratulations! In the email submitted, Columbia has stated that it makes decisions till April, on a rolling basis as applications are evaluated randomly, and the date of submission has no bearing over the same.

I am still awaiting a response, fingers crossed!

I dont understand why they did not decide on my toefl waiver request. On my status page TOEFL box requirement is still not ticked off, whereas e.g. SLS decided few days after submission of my application and even sent me an email stating that my request has been approved.
Also, I dont know if i should be concerned.. seems like people get their decisions literally 2-5 days after their application went from received to complete, whereas I did not receive anything yet.
Or maybe I am just panicking haha

You have to send them an email with the TOEFL waiver request, they then revert back asking if you have given TOEFL earlier, if so, what was your score and a copy of your CV.
Based on that they decide if you should be granted a waiver or not. If you haven't given TOEFL or have gave the exam in the last two years, they won't grant it to you. I tried. That's how I know. Also, this has to be done much in advance. Otherwise they won't respond.
