Columbia LLM | 2019-2020 Applicants

Hi,
I thought it best to just copy-paste whatever they wrote in their email, just in case anyone else also wants to send the application next week. Here it is:

"To request an expedited decision, please send us an email with the following information:

-The official email correspondence from the law school(s) to which you have been accepted, making sure that the decision deadline is clearly visible within the correspondence. You can do this by replying to this email and attaching the offer as a pdf.
-Documentation of any financial aid you may have received, if applicable. The documentation you send should include the dollar amount of your financial aid award.

The Admissions Committee will do its best to get an answer to you before your earliest deadline, but please note that we cannot guarantee that the Admissions Committee will be able to make an expedited decision. Please let us know if you have any further questions."

Hope this helps!

I'm not comfortable with their request to attach the admission(s) that we already got.

That is interesting...Why do they need to know financial aid received as well...a bit weird no?

because they want to know how much you were offered to match or exceed this, if they want you!

Hey Guys - I got admitted today. So check your emails before asking for an expedited review. It may not be needed.

Anyone else still waiting on Columbia's Human Rights Fellowship? I feel like maybe they've already sent out all human rights LLM decisions. :(

Yes I haven't heard back yet, and I know a couple of people that haven't either. I am planning to ask for an expedited review

Is it confirmed that they provide an expedited decision to all those who ask for it and how long will an expedited decision take? Any ideas?

I requested for one yesterday. Even though they say they can’t guarantee a reply by April 1rst, going by the responses from previous years’ posts, they tend to reply in a week or so.

For those of you that requested an expedited review , did Columbia respond to your demand saying that they'd be taking it into account, or no ?
