Hi again, I received my offer on 5 March and was told in the offer letter that a decision re: financial aid would be taken in the next few weeks. I still haven't heard anything. Is anyone else in the same situation?

No, they said that they would only give me a deposit deadline once a decision re: financial aid was taken.

Has anyone received an answer regarding the Human Rights Fellowship? I received an e-mail on March 23 saying they were expecting to release the decisions in "the next couple of weeks". :-S

I grew so impatient i sent a mail to the dean for inquiries on that front (Dont know if that was a smart thing to have done).

Anyways I have not heard anything from her. On the Human Rights Fellowship, a chum of mine at Columbia informed me that the decisions have already been made and the students contacted.

In the admission letter I received, the tuition deposit form was also enclosed and i had returned the form and my deposit has already been processed. I was wondering how this worked since I was told in the admission letter that I would be informed of when the deposit will be due at the same time i get the financial aid decision.

Anyways, fingers crossed they remember us soon.

It's strange that some of us still haven't heard anything about funding. Those of you who have, could you please give us an indication of the amount of funding your received and when a positive decision was made in your case? Many thanks

Hi All, I got my finaid decision today. I was given a tuition waiver of $20K. I guess they probably forgot (if not for my reminder) because the finaid mail said I should return the acceptance form and the tuition deposit form by 30 April!

Anyone know how to decline an offer from Columbia? I was offered some financial aid, but unfortunately it is not enough to justify turning down Cambridge.
