Just an update which may not concern the regular track applicants. I just received the admission package in my mail yesterday. It included a student handbook, original letter of acceptance and brochures relating to the various courses they offer. It is a pretty impressive package if you ask me! Cardozo on the other hand sent me a t-shirt along with the acceptance letter (which is cute!).

Hi~congratulations to those who get offers
does anyone have problems in checking the status online?
I could enter my LLM account in Columbia's website, but can not find the link to the status online
I am a little bit worried, is there something wrong with my application?

No, there isn't, after you sign on you only have to look for the link "Check Your Application Status" on My Columbia LLM section of your dashboard, then you will see a new screen, enter your User Name and password (provided on the application acknowledgement mail) and there you will be able to check your status and documents submitted.

If you applied recently it will take a time for them to process and check all your documents, so be patient.

Hi,
I have a question regarding TOEFL IBT scores required by CLS for admission. According to Columbia's website the minimum scores are 105 overall, with 26 on Reading and Listening sections and 24 on the Speaking and Writing sections.
I have recently taken my test and got only 96 with 20 on Reading, 21 on Writing, 27 on Speaking and 28 on Listening. I know it looks weird that I understand what is said and can easily reply to it, but do not handle the same content when it is in written. One could say that I am English paper-based skills illiterate;)
Anyway, my question is whether any of you is or was (LL.M. applicants/graduates) in the same or similar situation? Do you see any chance for admission providing that other factors of my application are strong?
Many thanks in advance for your reply!

Hi Zuza, If the rest of your application is stellar they may make you a conditional offer based on you completing certain English courses before you begin your ll.m. All the best!

Shimmer - no news from regular track that I am aware of.

Review of applications and decisions are rolling and randomised. However, I was told by colleagues / friends who are former applicants not to expect anything before end of February / beginning of March.

Hey guys!

Does anyone have any information about the Human Rights Fellowship? Around how many applicants will be accepted? Is it extremely hard to be accepted? Will the decision be released at the same time as the offer of admission? Thank you very much for any info anyone might share!

I had the same question regarding the Appel Fellowship Scholarship on the Regulation of the Multinational Enterprise. Does any one know whether decisions are made concurrently with notices of admission or separately?

Hi! From what I know, Appel and HR Fellowships are announced at a later date. You will therefore be notified of your admission first.

Response/update on Columbia's regular cycle is usually in March, after NYU's.

Hi everyone,

I have been accepted to Columbia's LL.M. Program through early review program. Does anybody know when financial aid decisions will be made for those who have been admitted through early review? Will they be made togther with those who will be accepted through regular circle or will they be rendered earlier?

Thank you for responses.
I wish everybody to be admitted to the program he or she has applied.

This is going to be a fun month! Lots of waiting... sitting on offers from outsatanding schools or paying non refundable deposits, while waiting.

Hi All!

The only scholarships that Columbia advertises are the Human Rights and Appel Fellowships. But Columbia also gives out other scholarships and financial aid (both partial in terms of tuition fee value, around USD20,000-30,000). You are notified of the latter at the same time that you are notified of your admission.

Thank you very much for this helpful information. Do you perhaps know whether those other scholarships are granted based only on financial need or also based on merit?
