Thanks for sharing. Just sent a request for expedite decision to Columbia and forwarding the offer and scholarship letters from Boston U. Hope I did the right thing
Posted Mar 25, 2015 10:53
I asked for an expedited decision yesterday. I only attached my admission letters (2) plus admission emails (3), as I have not received the admission packages yet for 3 schools.
Are admission emails enough or does it need to be a letter?

I sent admission emails and they were enough. Good luck!

I asked for an expedited decision on Sunday and I got my acceptance today.
I think it can only help - they might have doubts on your application (since they haven't responded yet) but they see you're keen on them and that other univeristies want you...
so I'd say go for it!

I sent a request today, they asked me to forward the admission mails from other programs, so I did... Now let's wait for the best.

Sent email yesterday requesting expedited decision, hasn't received any reply.
Hoping not to be like the 'Bad Luck Brian' meme from 9gag.

My deadlines are pretty far away (mid april). I was wondering if I should e-mail anyway. I am worried that CLS might think that I was not addmited to any other uni' which might lower my chances to get in.
What do you think?

In your case, I think you should wait.

Did you get financial aid?
Yes, a tuition waiver.
Thank god!
The overall cost is more reasonable now. Still incredibly high but every penny helps.

To those still waiting for admossion/financial decision - don't give up just yet.
I was admitted on December 22 (early review) and waited until yesterday for financial aid decision. It was a long wait and I was nervous because a couple of candidates indicated on this forum that they have received tuition waivers. I thought I stand no chance since deadlines are approaching but was proven wrong! A considerable tuition waiver was offered to me yesterday.
If I had to guess, CLS waits with the majority of financing decisions closer to deadlines when students who take offers from other schools decline CLS' admission offers. Now they have a smaller pool of candidates to offer them financing.
My deadline is April 3, which I think is the same for those who have been offered financial aid this week. Some will probably decline and allow CLS to offer their aid to other candidates who are still awaiting decision.
If I am right, waiting doesn't necessary mean a bad thing. You may still be surprised :)
Hope my view and info were helpful, and wish all of you good luck!

I applied for an expedited decision as well 2 days ago and they didn't even reply to the email or anything.
It seems there is no chance of getting admitted this late if they've already given out so many offers and even financial aid....

As I mentioned earlier, I think that this is the time when some offers are being rejected and these places are pass to the next in line who are waiting for a decisions.
This is surely true for some amount of places because candidates must decide and enroll due to deadlines and cannot sit on the fence any longer. At this time, there are always people who may take other tempting offers for financial or other reasons and vacate places at CLS.
I am sure that we will hear about people who receive an admission decision or scholarship in the next two weeks.
Good luck!
