by the way, if you were deferred or if you applied in the regular cycle and are still waiting for admission results, what i did when i applied was, after i finished an internship in disneyland, i was able to get a good recommendation letter from my supervisor and i sent that to columbia. i said something like, "i just finished an internship in disneyland and i met columbia LLM alumni there and i was even more thrilled to study in columbia. by the way, i got this reco letter from them. can you include this as part of my application?"

they were nice about it and they included it as part of my application. so if you have additional materials that come up (like nobel prize awards, guinness record awards), you should definitely tell them to include it as part of your application.

i got deferred to regular circle...T-T, i like CLS and i so want to get in!

I knew it must be bad news - AD always goes first and then deferral and rejection.

Anybody knows what is the chance for deferred people to get admitted in the regular circle...? just curious whether this is another way of rejection.

In that case, what a complete idiot if you've got nothing better to do that write fake stuff on this blog!

I've applied early action and received an e-mail last week asking for an extra document (transcripts of the University where I studied as an Erasmus student for 1 year).
This goes to say that they are probably still going through the applications. So those of you who heard nothing so far, keep fingers crossed.
They are probably going on a rolling basis,,,

This is obviously a fake... A guy with approximatively the same nickname (like "Existentialism") sent a few messages about "why are you doing it? it's useless".

He must be the same person, with a new account.

I guess I have the dubious distinction of being the first to be rejected through the early review :-( so heartbreaking, I nearly cried.

To their credit, the rejection email was soft; "I am sorry to report that the Committee on Graduate Studies at Columbia Law School, after carefully considering your application, has been unable to grant you admission to the LL.M. Program.

This year, we received a large number of highly qualified applicants competing for the limited places available.

We wish you success in your future academic and professional caree. Thank you for your interest in the Columbia Law School Graduate Program."
