Iv pretty chuffed about being admitted...just the small issue of funding now....arrrghhh

Nonetheless, very happy that a Scot will be attending Columbia..

Im also attending Columbia this year...............and am excited by the melting pot of cultures......and for the latest scott admit - ...i love bagpipes and kilts myself.......so looking forward to the culturally rich environment we are about to step into.

Well, havig heard here of at least 2 people in the same situation and being accepeted gives some hope. However, if I don't get a response by the end of this week I think I will loose it...

Nope, I think it is the time now, but my only remaining deadline is on April 15th (NYU).

I asked for a request some time ago, but they said they can't do that in my case. Don't know if that's good or bad....

I have a deadline on April 15th to decide between Gtown and Chicago. Or ask for a deferral for next year and apply again to CLS. What would you do?

Strange that they could not expedite your application...I mean Chicago is an awesome uni (Georgetwon is as well, but I do not like the D.C area that much). I think I would accept Chicagos offer. But I can't defer my application til next year. And as long as they do not grant an acceptance you might lose a great opportunity with Chicago. But of course, if you really want to go to NYC and really want to attend specific classes at CLS, you should not spend that large an amount for another uni. But I think that there are reasons why you decided not only to apply at CLS....

I'd take one of those offers, unless you really want CLS and the others don't really fulfill you...
