We knew that already, no? :-)
Yep ;)
Just a good reminder... And since Chicago was favored here, I thought I should mention it in this thread.

I cannot recall reading anything about financial aid or scholarships in the group e-mails and I did not receive anything with the admission notification. Can anyone enlighten me on this subject regarding Chicago and its usual practice?

Hi Spikee, Badger`s admission email contained an attached Word document which explained how to ask for financial aid. Basically, you have to send an email applying for financial assistance, expressing how much you and your parents`earn and the savings that you and your parents expect to have to cover the LLM expenses.
Chicago should answer around March 15.
I hope this information is useful. Good luck!

Thanks! That is helpful! Guess I missed that part. Just scanning the e-mail at three in the morning before heading to the train station wasn't a good idea, I guess. :-)

Has anybody heard anything else from UofC?
My application was one of the last ones (so I imagine) to get complete - just in february, when I reported a new TOEFL score.
I must be in the group of those late completed applications, as mentioned by Mr. Badger.
However I think it is taking too long for any response.
I am becoming really anxious about this.
Has anyone heard anything about the admission process' status by now?
tks a lot

Thank you Ihartmann. At least I see I am not alone in this cold waiting.
I was thinking they had forgotten about me, butI know that's just the anxiety.
Lets hope soon means soon - and "Yes!"
Good luck.

Congrats to all those admitted! I was waitlisted in Chicago... I was wondering, if someone from my country declines their offer to Chicago, what chances do I have of being offered admission??? I was thinking about sending Richard a mail asking if they already had some news for me!

I got nothing, but still congratulations and best wishes to all of you!
BTW, just be curious, how do you respond to those questions re financial status? Was the scholarship awarded based on financial need or something else, e.g. merit basis?
Posted Mar 19, 2011 06:14
I guess both on need and merit.
I got nothing... Congratulations to others!

I am surprised by Chicago's generosity. I have been awarded a 20,000 USD scholarship and it appears quite a few of those were given out.
