Hey guys,
Does anybody have info?
I've received email from BU School of Law about telephone interview where they ask to appoint a relevant time for phone interview.
So I wonder does it mean that I've 50% admitted and other 50% depend on phone interview?
Please share your expirience. What generally does telephone interview mean? What kind of question they ask?

Hi Emink, if you take a look at the BU website, it states that only promising candidates will be interviewed. Therefore, I think it is a good sign. The interview is relaxed and not very formal. In my case, the questions were about the reasons for obtaining an LLM and why I choose to do so now. My suggestions are just relax and also prepare one or two questions for the interviewer. I was given an answer about a week after the interview. Well, good luck!

Hi you may submit the financial statements after you are admitted. I was admitted to BU law and got USD 10,000 scholarship on Dec. 23, 2009... That's absolutely the most fantastic Christmas gift that I received so far!!

Congratulations!!!!

I already answered these questions in the personal statement. Do you think, they will ask for a telephone interview anyways?

Actually I answered them in my PS. too....maybe they just want to test my speaking through the phone call.

Congrats zywhu. you are very lucky that you received a scholarship. May I ask you about your credentials? Since I received no scholarship, it would be interesting to get an idea about the criterion to receive a scholarship.
To MAB79, it think it is no problem to send your financial statements later. I did not send my statements, I only submitted a letter from my father stating that he will support me and also help me obtain sponsors.
I wish you all good luck on your interviews!

Does anybody knows if BU is a good university for Corporate Law?
I didn't have the opportunity to check the program yet, so I appreciate if someone explain me what is their best LL.M program.
Thanks.

I had a quick question.. i received a mail from boston university about a telephonic interview.. my query is a little weird.. the email sounds like i need to call them.. would that be true? i am adding the email below so that u guys can tell me whether it is just me reading it wrong..
We have received your application for the Boston University School of Law LL.M. in Banking and Financial Law Program.
In order to proceed with the review of your application, you need to schedule a phone interview with the admission committee.
The interview is a chance for us to learn about your interests and plans for study. It also provides you the opportunity to ask any questions you may have about the Program. The interview usually lasts from 20 to 30 minutes but may last longer.
We schedule interviews Monday-Friday from 9:30AM to 12:00PM (Boston time, Eastern Standard Time). Please email us at least three dates and times that you will be available to call our office. Our phone number is 617-353-3023.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the Program or the application process, please feel free to contact us.

i think its an option between calling them or simply emailing them with three alternative dates and times that they may call you. I reckon its wisest to do both!
