Berkeley Traditional Track 2016-2017

You take the same classes as JD students, it confirms this on their website. I seem to remember reading somewhere that the class size is around 120 and there are approx. 1200 applicants. I can't remember where I read this though, so don't quote me on that.

12.3% acceptance rate then. The JD is 21%.

I don't like those odds...

They might over offer than the class size, as a lot of people who do get offers might choose other universities

That's very true. I have seen someone post this morning that they have received an admissions decision for the traditional track, I wonder if they have started releasing the decisions? It seems early.

Thank you!
I've been looking for it for a while.

175-185 is a big class size.

Chichilee1992, it seems from your tracker that you are still waiting to hear from UCLA. Is that correct?

I haven't heard from them yet.
But I am not waiting for UCLA anymore.
If I don't get in UCB, I will just go to Duke.
If I get in, I will choose from one of them.

Duke is a great school, so I understand that. Congrats on your admittance. Hopefully we'll heard from Berkeley soon enough.

It seems that Berkeley started to send decisions. A guy from Hong Kong appears as admitted in the application tracker.

Yes we noted this earlier. I wonder if it is normal for them to send just one application in a day.

She/He might have chosen the wrong program. It might be the professional track.

Berkeley stopped receiving applications for that in January though and they have a 3 week turnaround for decisions. I heard back from them after just 1 week.

Then, should we be worried? I don't think Berkeley gives expedited decisions.

No they specifically say that they don't on their website. But if you look at past years, there are a couple of people who have posted earlier admissions than others. Maybe they're just like ... super brilliant and have been offered a full scholarship?

I don't think we should be worried about it though, not if only one person has heard.

Hi,

My status on the UCB portal says:

"Missing Transcripts/No Institutions Submitted
Currently at AACRAO for evaluation"

What does this mean?

My LSAC page says reports have already been sent to UCB in the second week of Jan.

Thanks!

I would contact them in response to that and ask if there is anything that you can provide to assist with their evaluation. There may have been an issue with your transcripts. Were they in foreign language? Did you pay for the international evaluation service?
