Has anyone here with the average GPA ever got accepted into top law school like Duke, Cornell, UPenn, Berkeley, UCLA, etc. ??

I'm sure that it happens, and it probably happens every year. However, once applicants become students they tend not to visit these kinds of boards anymore. :)

In general the lower your GPA is the better you'll want the other parts of your application to be.

Play up the other factors where you have strengths, in your application letter and other communication. Any publications, work experience, internships, extracurriculars, mock trials, etc. - these will all add value to your profile.
