Hello,
I'm a 22 year old law student from Australia. I like the US system and would love to study in the States.
Can anyone kindly answer the following?
1) what law schools would be "realistic"?
I have good marks and am confident I will get H2A honours (maybe 1st class but will stay conservative). I only have one refereed article published in a law journal but have one more year of study left - do law schools like to see undergraduates getting published (is it a bonus) or is it expected?. If you require any more information please let me know.
Will probably not qualify for any major scholarships so if you can please also outline what law schools may be "affordable" that would be great. I notice great disparities with prices - what do you think of "State" law schools?
It would be very helpful to speak with an American about American law schools...
Again, thankyou very much for any guidance on this matter.
Aussie hoping to study a US LLM - some advice please

I think you have a strong chance at getting into a good school. Publishing is not expected so it will be viewed as a bonus. Schools give a range of aid, so you might want to apply to even the more expensive ones and see what you end up with. UCLA is a great state school. Good luck!
