Well, I am not from Colombia, but I am from Brazil, and I think that we will dispute the same place at Harvard because we are latin american. Unfortunatelly there are several Brazilians trying. From my University, which is University of Brasilia - UnB, there are more two students sending applications.

I'm not from Latin America. Just a question - do we know for a fact that Harvard and other top tier law schools operate a regional selection policy? Would their selection policy be similar to quotas? If so, how flexible are these? I guess they want diversity but it does sound slightly unfair in that several outstanding applicants may be competing for one or two places.

For example, I have heard that there are always max. 2 Russians at HLS each year - a boy and a girl....)) So, also a gender criterion should be considered...

Did you consult Fox Moulder?
:)
Your formula did not work with Russians this year.

More Russians than just two were admitted, two of them women. One of the latter deferred.
It's risky to make assumptions on a school admission policy with limited factual background.
Anyway I do not see any geographical/national patterns at HLS.
