I received an email on admission and was told to send in a written letter of acceptance together with deposit cheque to secure a place by 23.3.2012. Anyone has made firm decision in joining Duke? I believe a lot of you guys are probably waiting for a reply from other universities as well. So how will this go along?

I am awaiting other replies as well, but I'm sure I want to go to so it doesn't really matter to me.. Maybe you can for a deferral?

Several reason.. I want to experience the American college life. Which is harder when one is in a huge city like NY then when you're in a city in the South. And I met an alumnus from Duke and he was so positive on every aspect of the LLM program atat Duke that I knew I wanted to go there! I also applied to NYU, Cornell, Georgetown and Vanderbilt. And awaiting replies from NYU and Georgetown..

Yup, maybe you are right about the 'campus life' thingy! But it's very hard to resist NY itself! My friend who studied in NYU and is now working in NY told me that she had the best time of her life in NY, so i guess this is something that makes me stuck in the dilemma right now, lol... Anyway, hope we each get what we wanted so much! Let's hope for the best then, cheers~:)

Admitted to Duke this Monday. I am wondering, if almost everyone admitted to Duke also received an offer from NYU, will most of them go to NYU?

I received an admission offer from Duke but I´ve got another offer from Georgetown. I already decided to join Duke. Btw, is there anyone from south america?
