Hi everyone! Congratulations to those of you who have been already admitted!! I just received an email informing me that I was placed on the wait list... Does anyone know how many people are wait listed and what are my real chances of getting off the wait list?
Thanks!

Did anyone recieve offer for the International Economic Law, Business & Policy Program?

From what I've read here, only applicants to the "corporate governance and practice" program have heard back from SLS.
Maybe they are announcing decisions on the basis of the specific programs.
Let's hope IELB&P comes next :-)

I am really curious about you excellent people's background and experiences which are preferred by Stanford. Are you lawyers with big firms, or academics with notable articles/books from high ranking schools?
Thank you if any lucky one can share!
I've been accepted to the LST program and fully intend to take it up; do indeed feel incredibly lucky.
There's another thread on here with a few others accepted onto that program.
In terms of my bkgd/experience I've done a few years now at a large city firm in London; my undergrad was a history degree from Oxford. I did emphasise, though, that I was keen to flex some intellectual sinews again, which aren't always as stretched as I think they could be in corporate private practice. What is interesting to see, is how the SLS professors (and I guess US law profs in general) are able to mix their academic and professional roles so well.
Look forward to seeing all you other lucky ones in August
