I think....Miles End is more perferred as most of the lectures are conducted there...! And numberous buildings are available for QMUL accomodation...Its like one of the largest accomodation facility of QMUL..so there will be loads and loads of students in the surroundings and also quiet a few activities.

Hi everyone,
Ive just accepted an accommodation at International Hall. It is close to Russell square and Lincolns Inn, where I think that most lessons are taught. I believe that staying in central London, in a place where are postgraduates students from all the whole University of London can really enrich the experience of living in the City.
Does anybody is going there?
See you in September!!
C.

I am interested in the international hall. how much is it for the academic year? How do the fees compare to Queen Mary's own accommodation at Mile end?

Please refer to the website provided by Queen Mary's Residence service departments.

Best student housing accomodation is provided by Unite (google Unite students). It is partly owned by singaporean souvereign wealth fund. You can also check with 0pal and also Nido students. Nido is owned by Blackstone. Nido is the most luxurious but unite provides the best cost_quality balance. Definitely better thab university owned accommodation. Also for postgaduate you can check out livocity_also unite but this accommodation is for older people

Thanks for that information but the cost is too much with Unite.
Most prices are above 200pound a week which is ridiculous when Queen Mary have accommodation 100pound at Mile end??
If you have further information please do not hesitate to post!

I have an offer from QMUL for a specialist LLM in Commercial and Corporate Law for the 2009\10 session. I also have an offer from LSE for a LLM with the option of specialising in Corporate Commercial Law.
I have heard of QMUL's strong Commercial Law Centre and yet when the chips are down, I am aware that LSE has a greater reputation.
Any thoughts pls of which LLM to opt for?

Should not be such a huge difference - check whether you compare like for like, what is included? Are you comparing the same time of room...
Unite tends to include insurance and all of the utilities as well as bed linen. Are you comparing the same time period? QM should be cheaper but I would expect by 20% or so, but you will get what you paid for - you cannot compare Unite quality and QM quality (as well as security, level of service, etc). By the way, Unite tends to have a cluster flat time of accomodation where you either have your own flat with everything or you have an en-suite bedroom (own door with a lock, own post etc) but share a kitchen and living toom area with 2-4 people (depending on your price bracket). Check is this is the same with QM

I think Private Equity....you have an excellent valid point. I never looked in that direction. I am glad you mentioned it.
