I'm slightly confused now...so for some people the updated CamSis does specify the required result of their undergraduate degree whereas for others (e.g. Lawgeek) nothing is specified..?
Do we really then have to wait for the formal letter to find out our academic condition?? :,(
flowergirl, I guess we should expect that letter by July

Holy_Golightly,
July!!! Seriously? That late? Is that information based on the past years? Wow, I would have to pay 1000 of dollars for tuition of another school by then. Thanks a lot for this information.

Nooonono :) flowergirl, I was just joking! I was being ironic about Cambridge being so slow at processing our applications.
Judging by last years' threads, people usually receive those letters around middle/end of April.
However, they do seem to be slower this year..
Sorry for the false alarm, flowergirl!

Umm... I think you've got the wrong end of the stick a bit. I have to get a first! And the condition specifies that. I was just asked if they specified a particular average e.g. 72 or whatever. And they didn't- they just wanted a first. So I imagine anything from a 69.5 to a 100 would do!

Oh I see.. the thing is, in my country there is no such thing as a "first class degree", we are only compared against each other according to our average grade. Hopefully in this case they will specify the average grade required :(
Anyway thank you for the clarification and good luck with your dissertation, Lawgeek!

For what it's worth, I have been in touch with the Faculty of Law about my application to the Postgraduate Diploma in International Law programme and they indicated that the Degree Committee would likely not be meeting again until late April. That said, the decision schedule is likely different for the LLM programme -- my understanding is that the Degree Committees for the taught LLM and the Diploma/PhD research programmes are different. But I believe it is Easter break right now and late April would seem to coincide with the beginning of the Easter Term.
For everyone's sake, I hope the next set of LLM decisions are made before late April....

Hi Sapphire,
Here is Mrs. Wade's number. +44 (0) 1223 330034. I tried calling her yesterday but only receive automatic voice mail. So, I don't feel hopeful about getting in touch with her. But I am sure it does not hurt if you try calling. Good luck!
Thanks Flowergirl. I tried calling her but reached the option of leaving a message on the voice mail. :-(

Me too Sapphire. I called her three times today but only received voicemail. I give up on calling.

Maybe it's because the University is on a month-long break right now: http://www.cam.ac.uk/univ/termdates.html
I hope that means we won't have to wait until they are back in session on April 26th...

And they have included the following conditions:
1. Non standard academic condition - I need to obtain a min. grade of 9.0/10 in summer
2. Financial conditions
3. English Language Test
3. College Membership

Thank you for the update, Dominium.
Would you mind clarifying "in summer"? Does it say for example "by the end of June? or July?"
Sorry for bugging you over this but it is crucial for my undergrad degree since I have exams both in June and July.
Thanx!

I understand your concern, but they seem to be rather flexible (unless they will indicate due dates in the mail we are expecting to receive).
"You must obtain a result of 9.0 in the LLB at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki in summer 2011 (Section 3.2)."
I beleive that they expect the result to be sent by 30 of July...

I see. It does seem that they are not very strict regarding the dates. Hopefully they will keep that same flexible tone in the letters.

My offer was made on Feb 14th and my Camsis status still says "Papers with degree committee"..

Thank you guys, that's reassuring. I don't understand why it's taking them that much time but there isn't much we can do.
I've applied for a scholarship for which a decision is supposed to be rendered this week. I hope they have access to Mrs Wade to know who has been made an offer... :/

My Camsis status has been slightly changed today. It says "You have been recommended for an offer subject to Board of Graduate Studies approval". I received the email offer on 26 Feb.
