I know this has been discussed before, but still I'm slightly nervous-

I have gotten the offer email from Ms Wade stating that my formal offer will follow soon- It will take some time for my CamSIS to be updated/for me to get that formal offer from BGS, right?

I just got the offer email from Ms Wade around half an hour ago! Just to check - the condition attached to the offer is usually financial only, right? I've already finished my LLB.

Exactly the same. I need to retake the test because I scored 0.5 points less than the minimum required in the writing skill (6.5) although I have 9 in both listening and reading and 8 in the speaking part (and 8 as overall). In fact, I asked for a waiver.

This is really interesting, because I also got the overall score, but I got the same in writing (6,5)!!!!!... Really annoying!

I'm taking it once more I think, before asking for a waiver...

I think so, yes. I am in the same position right now. It has been almost a month since the email from Ms. Wade and my status has not been updated since. I just sent her an email to be sure, but I would not worry too much.

Well, finally got tired of waiting and decided to face the truth by giving the much feared call to Ms. Wade. As everyone as stated, she was very helpful, and after taking a couple of minutes, informed me that the Committee had made a decision but apparently my application was unsuccessful...

Can't say I didn't expect that, but the "emotional" disappointment can't be avoided! Glad the waiting is over, though, and I can now fully focus in my local scholarship application to fund UCL!

On a side note, to all applicants discussing the IELTS, I scored 9.0 in listening and speaking, and 8.5 in reading, but a 6.5 in writing meant not meeting the requirement. I requested a revision of my writing evaluation (tough decision since I had to pay an extra 50 pounds, which would be reimbursed if the score was modified...). Suprinsingly enough, they did modified the score and awarded a 7.0 my writing section.

So, if you really think you could have got that 7.0, give a thought to ask for a revision, in my case it saved me the absolute pain of taking the test again!

Good luck to you all!

totally know how you feel Wolf! I called miss wade yesterday and she politely told me that i hadn't made it. anyway, now the wait is over and I can concentrate on the offers in hand.

Does anyone know about the condition that transcripts should be sent to the Board by the University itself? I have submitted my application in paper and my original transcripts in a signed letter. I am wondering if this is a requirement for all, or they put it wrong on my CamSis account. Ms Wade did not answer my e-mail yet. Many thanks in advance:)

Hi tynagh, have you heard anything back from Ms Wade so far? Or you have already sent another original transcript to the BoGS?

I also have the same problem as my application was paper-based and I am still waiting for Ms Wade's reply. Anyway, my guess is that we have to send a separate original transcript to the BoGS again as condition fulfilment. If it is otherwise, please suggest. Thanks much.

Hi there! Unfortunately, she seems to ignore me at the moment. They say that you should give them 10 business days to reply in general, so I will ask her again at the end of this week. Otherwise, I think you are right, we will have to resend the documents (although they have 2 sets of the same, it's so disappointing!). I am also waiting for the official scholarship letter from Chevening before I can undersign the financial undertaking and I am a bit nervous. Let's see...

CamSis only, still waiting for an email! My CamSis status confuses me a bit. My status still says "Under consideration by College" but under college membership it says "Accepted at Magdalene College" for almost a week now.
Did you get any further confirmation?

Thanks for your reply and big congrats on your Chevening award. That sounds really amazing!!

If you don't mind, I would like to ask you further about the financial tracking on your CamSiS whether it's right that your total amount of liability as of now has already been less by MCL reservation fee 1,500 pound and as such the total becomes approx. 29,XXX.

My point is that I paid the reservation fee and I am about to submit the financial form. Yet my financial tracking still shows the full amount (31,XXX). If that is the case, I would then wait until the system applies my reservation fee against the total liability before filling in such amount in the form. If not, maybe I can submit the form right away using the full amount. Thanks.

No, no further confirmation for me either. I found out last Wednesday via CamSis but have not heard from them since. Suppose it will take a little while, especially since things are not that pressing at the moment with October still being some months away.

Many thanks, I hope that everything goes well and I will also be able to submit the financial undertaking as soon as possible. However, my finance tracker shows 31,xxx as well, so the reservation fee has not been set off yet. Actually, there is no sign of any update on my CamSis account since the first day except for my college admission, that's why I am getting more and more worried:( I think you can submit the form for the full amount, they have to adjust it anyway when you pay the tuition, but if you decide otherwise and ask Ms Wade, would it be possible that you kindly let me know about her response?
Thanks!:)

Hello everyone,

I received the email last week confirming that I had been made a conditional offer. I have a few questions to those that have been made offers - I'd appreciate any further insight!

1) Any chance that the condition will not be achieving a first in my degree?

2) How long will it take to update my Camsis account?

3) Anyone heard from Gonville and Caius?

Good luck everyone!

I've managed to express my desire to get informed on the status of my application as well, after giving them more than a few rings on Friday, but a lady (not Ms Wade, as she highlighted) indicated that myself, along with all the remaining applicants would receive an e-mail, of one context or another, by Saturday afternoon. Clearly, there must be an additional factor of delay.
