Received an email from Ms Wade today:
"Thank you for applying for the Cambridge LLM course. Your application is still being considered by our LLM Admissions Committee. We will write to you again as soon we are able to finalise the outcome of your application, on Monday 23 April at the latest. But if you have any queries in the meantime please do not hesitate to contact me."
I guess this means I still have a chance. All in all it is very nice to finally hear something from the school. And there is a 'date' - be it rejection or acceptance, it seems the painful wait is finally near its end.

Thanks, cng. Was this message a reply to an e-mail/call of yours or did you receive it out of the blue?

Does anyone know when the provisional list of subjects for 2012-13 will be published? Last year it was early March according to this website: http://www.law.cam.ac.uk/press/news/2011/03/publication-of-provisional-lists-of-papers-for-the-tripos-and-llm-examinations-for-2011-2012/1483

Hello everyone,
I was informed by email yesterday by Ms Wade that I had been made a conditional offer from the University of Cambridge. The details of the offer will be outlined in a letter posted to be later next week.
For all those who have yet to hear - good luck and don't lose faith!

congratulations to everyone with good news!
maybe they work on Sunday as well
edit: no, they don't

Guess I'll call Mrs. Wade tomorrow.

would you prefer Cambridge over Oxford? what are you focusing on?
Posted Apr 15, 2012 23:05
I absolutely would. Cam just seems to attract me more, can't really explain why. I'm actually not that into the tutorial system and rather prefer lectures and self-learning. Also, a (small) point to consider is the awarded degree (well-known LL.M. vs [at least in CH] relatively unknown M.Jur.). Finally, I 'just' need the LL.M. for my presumable future law firm and, e.g., not for my academic carreer (I won't base my present post-doctoral thesis on UK law as well). Oxon would thus not be of such an advantage to me.

I'm considering an academic career in public international law / EU external relations law. Do you guys reckon Cambridge would be better suited than Oxford?
I've been told that the BCL is "the best in the world" but tbh, having looked at the courses available on the BCL there's little if any PIL focus or anything that I'm interested in studying.
Any thoughts / suggestions?

Anyone based in the UK received an offer for the LLM yet? Or better yet, have any British people been offered a place?
I only ask because I think they go through nationalities in turn when deciding.
Thanks

Just called lovely Ms. Wade who informed me that I'm being offered a place. Stunned!
Posted Apr 16, 2012 15:32
Now I'm nervous because I don't know if calling her is the only way I might know the status of my application.
Posted Apr 16, 2012 15:37
@pipiripao, I tried calling on friday. The call kept going to Ms. Wade's voice inbox. But fortunately, I got an email that day from her while my frantic efforts at a call were still unsuccessful.
Wish you all the very best.
