Hi! I am a current LL.M. student at King's and I have chosen to live at King's Residences.
Most of us LLM students were allocated to Atlas, one of the residences that opened in 2018. My contract ends on the 7th of September, but I will not be staying here during summer. I know that some LLM's take pre-sessional courses, so someone might be interested in taking over my contract during summer for a reduced price compared to renting directly to King's (and if you like it, it might possible to extend the contract for the next year).
My room is small, but it has a small double bed, drawers and wardrobe, a mirror, desk and chair, and plenty of storage. King's doesn't provide anything besides the furniture, but I would be more than happy to lend you some of the stuff you might need, such as lamp, bedding, towels and my crockery set (pans, plates, cutlery and cup).
The room is inserted in a three-room flat, which has a shared kitchen and two bathrooms (the room is not en-suite, but the bathroom is shared with one girl max, who is remarkably clean and tidy). The flat is at the upper floors of the building and it faces Vauxhall Park (not the railway), which means that it is very quiet :)
The building itself is incredibly nice: you have a rooftop on the 32nd floor; a common kitchen where you can organise dinners and events with other people; a media room with large tvs where you can watch movies and play playstation; and also a study lounge, which serves both purposes of studying and chilling. If you have any problem, the reception people will help you.
The building is located in Vauxhall, literally 5 min from the tube station (Victoria line - zone 1). You can reach Oxford Circus in 17 minutes from my room, as well as King's Waterloo and Strand campus within 25 min, which is great for London standards. It is a very calm and nice area, close to the river and with a very nice park.
I have been paying 239/week for this room, but during summer months I am willing to drop it significantly - I will be staying at another place anyways, so I am just trying to have a smaller loss. Because of that, I am also very flexible as for move in dates: you can come anytime.
Pm if interested!
