I believe so. However, that may be positive. I guess we'll have to wait and find out!

Above all, I would be completely uncertain if I were you, whether this is a good or a bad sign :p

(Anyway, my time in this forum should end soon, now I have all the decisions of my applications; Oxford really saved a shock for the end :D )

Today I spoke with the GAO just before I had my admission letter. I was told that they will be rolling out decisions until Wednesday if they need to. Remember, there were 608 applicants for the BCL. So for those of you who are still waiting, I hope you will receive good news. For those who were not successful *THIS ROUND*, please do not despair. These places are so competitive that a matter of luck is needed. A rejection should not put you off. I have received so many rejections during my applications that I got tired of seeing more, but each negative experience has a positive part. Best of luck guys, hope to see you someday at Oxford and have a pint!

But a rejection email is final, right? Or they can go back and accept you?

Yes. (Unless someone made a mistake, which is very, very etc. unlikely :D)

Does anyone have any experience (or know of anyone) of being rejected for the BCL and then being accepted in a subsequent year or once you have been rejected then Oxford will not accept you in subsequent years?

I was wondering what the profile of those who got an offer looks like( previous degree/grades, work experience/sector and duration). I think it could be useful for future applicants as well as those of us who try to understand why they got rejected. Thanks!

I think it s very relevant for those who got rejected and might want to apply in the future. Will they look at you in a bad way if you try again next year?

I have not yet heard back from any college.

I'm aware that some colleges have started giving out offers for other graduate programmes and for BCL students that did their undergraduate degrees at Oxford. I'm guessing there's still a while to wait...

Oh yeah, rest back and wait. In the admission offer they said it can take up to 8 weeks

I wonder why it would take 8 weeks... do they scrutinise the applications as closely as the law department does?

I think so, from what I have read they seek to maximise allocation of Scholarships.

Hm... Wouldn't that mean all colleges would look at all applications? That sounds a bit odd
