So! Out of interest ... who among you is an international student waiting to see if they're going to get some free money? If you aren't so lucky (and most of us will be in that boat) how do you intend to finance the degree?

That's what I was wondering too.. Also, I'm struggeling whether or not to let my final response depend on a financial aid decision. I do not have any third party funding and I'm rather reluctant to burry myself in 40K debt for an extra degree. Your insights on this point are much appreciated.

It's very difficult for anyone to advise you without knowing your situation.
Two basic premises:
- The BCL is an excellent route to the Bar where one will likely earn enough to recoup BCL fees.
- The BCL is an excellent route to the D.Phil in Law at Oxford which is one of the best ways in the world to start an academic legal career.

What about MJur?
Always second to the Cambridge LLM.

The BCL/MJur is widely regarded as better than the Cam LLM.

Anyone heard anything about college/funding yet, or know if anyone else has? I'm not on facebook so haven't seen the 2016/17 facebook group.
All I know is I got rejected by St John's (my preference) a couple of weeks ago! It wasn't a strongly held pref. so not particularly troubled by it. But wouldn't mind an end to the uncertainty ...

I heard back from Oxford regarding a college placement (Wadham), but I have yet to hear anything on the scholarship front. On Monday, I was advised that "scholarship decisions are being made at this moment". So, hopefully that means not everything has been decided just yet!

That's interesting. Congrats on the college placement. Wadham looks great! When you say you were advised, was that by the faculty?
Wonder where on earth I'll end up.

Well, the advisement I was provided was from Wadham college itself.
A friend of mine had sent an email to Oxford earlier in the year (before offers were sent out) and they provided him the same sort of information, "scholarship offers will come out around end of April/beginning of May".
This seems to conflict with the wording in the admission letter that advised scholarship offers would come out Mid April.
So much waiting!
