My first choice was King's, and my second was St. John's. The email doesn't mention whether I can choose my room. Hope that helps.

To all the admitted students and people in the know:
I intend to apply to Cambridge, Oxford and LSE next year and I would prefer to take the TOEFL instead of the IELTS.
I would be very grateful if someone could share his/her wisdom on the following:
- beyond the statements on Cambridge and LSE websties do these schools discriminate against TOEFL takers compared to IELTS takers?
- again: beyond the exhibited lack of support towards TOEFL takers on the Oxford law wab pages, does the school actually put them at a disadvantage (or disqualify them altogether save for a good explanation for their chioce?)
- finally: is the higher TOEFL score required (apparently with no compelling reason outside their sacrosanct right to regulate admissions as they please) by LSE (114/120) strictly enforced?
Many thanks in advance

Anyone heard anything about the Faculty of Law scholarships at Oxford?
Posted May 07, 2009 16:50
HRoak, I'm eager to hear from them too, but nothing as yet.
In case you don't get them, will you still come to Oxford?

Yep. I have my loans all set up; it's just a question of how much I have to take out.

That's good to hear. No longer considering Cambridge?

There should normally be an e-mail as notification of acceptance followed by the super-slow camsis update.
Not sure about rejection. They might put it on camsis, but one will take ages to know. I think it's better for you to call and ask. Best of luck.

i wrote to ms malloy regarding oxon college offers...she informed me that my application was still pending with my college of first choice...some people have heard from their college of first choice and in some cases college of their second choice...so its quite a mixed bag...its a wait and watch for the others!

Anyone heard anything about funding? Any ideas when Cambridge Trusts scholarships might be awarded? If so, will recipients of scholarships be notified by post, email or Camsis? Anyone who has received a college offer heard about funding from your college? As you can see, funding has me concerned!

Any more news on colleges? Has anyone of you got admitted in older colleges (besides gonville and gais)? Trying to estimate if this is at all possible...

A couple of us have been accepted into Queens' over the last few days, so it's certainly possible. However, it was either our first or second choice college.

Sorry I missed this. I have officially withdrawn from Cambridge, so Oxford it is.

I received an offer overnight for Jesus College. Only know about it through Camsis. No email or other correspondence.
Posted May 14, 2009 01:05
Thanks for that tip. I just went onto Camsis and had a look. I have an offer for Jesus as well.
No email or anything in post either.

Congratulations to everyone admitted to oxbridge...
For quite a long time i've been reading everyone's comments.
I applied to harvard, oxbridge, Columbia, LSE and NYU and got a call from Columbia, NYU and LSE. Finally i've decided to go to LSE.
While pursuing LLM from LSE, I wish to apply to Oxf/Cam/Harvard for 2010-11 session for a higher degree.
The degree at LSE would be completed by December 2010.
Since u ppl have done a lot of research on 'how to get in' and u ppl have also succeeded in getting in, my question is, can i apply for a higher programme for the next session while pursuing LLM from LSE this year...i'll have to furnish proof of my LL.M degree to apply for a higher degree. And at the time of applying, i won't be able to furnish the same.
I would be highly obliged if anyone could please guide me on the above mentioned query.
All the best to everyone.
