Maybe we just have to face the fact that the "exceptional" applicants are not on this board :)

heehehehe, just seemed the most logical explanation :)

CamSIS is such a piece of shit. what's the use of it, anyway??
"Anything we need to tell you about your application (such as a change of status or materials you need to send us) will be shown here first"
This is so not true.
Well, we'll just wait and see.
I'm not nervous at all :D

You people are ridiculous! Stop calling the graduate admissions office - calling them will not get your application seen to any quicker! We could find out tomorrow or in April...bombarding the poor people at Cambridge with phone calls will make no difference...
We are all anxiously waiting...you don't want to jeopardise your chances by annoying the admin staff do you?!

has anyone here applied to oxford with a paper application?? If so, did they send you any kind of note that they have received your materials??
I am a bit worried, because I didn't get anything. my application might as well ended up lost through the post :)
any information on this??
Hey, i applied to Oxford through paper, and i only received the self-addressed postcard which only indicates that they have opened the package and received my papers.

I must wholeheartedly agree with the above. Of course, we are all very anxious to know of the outcome but similar boards from earlier years demonstrate that some don't find out until March time- just imagine if every Thursday and Friday until then we go through this same process!

I agree that it isnt the time to peak.
Now, to engage everyone's attention on a different note, which due you think is the most beautiful and scenic college both at Oxford and Cambridge ? Secondly, which college, according to you has the best architectural facade ?
It would be nice to know about the experience of those who have been there and have experiienced the aura...
I've only been to Oxford, and I think Magdalen is quite grand, so is Christ Church (Harry Potter!). But they all look quite the same. I think my favourite hang out place would be the Natural History Museum!

Don't brood over Trinity. Gonville is cool as well. But if you look at the college profiles in the prospectus, there are certain number of rooms at Gonville without internet facilities! I will die if I'm assigned into one!

Nooooo! Stick to Gonville, Jag! It's cool!
I'm not sure about the one for Cambridge, but I've naturally (like you) ticked the box in the case of Oxford. Although I have my preference for colleges and would be reluctant to be assigned to certain colleges, I guess I wouldn't mind if there are some good funding in compensation for that. I assume you share my sentiment?
