MLF applicant/ long-time lurker here - the 'magic button' seems to have disappeared for me as of an hour ago. I don't fully believe in the theory, but just sharing to let you guys know that decisions may hopefully not be too far away!

Hi all - my "upload" button has also disappeared for the MLF. The button for the MJur is still there. Brace yourselves... results are coming!

Apologies guys, a quick q: do you know if we receive the result by email or is it available in the portal?

I believe it comes by email - I don't think the portal actually shows it at all.

Welp, my button is still very much there. Not a good sign, but we’ll see soon enough (tomorrow morning around 8-9 AM GMT).

Email. Most arrive around 4-5 pm from what I read in last year’s thread.

Thank you for your wishes, all the best to you too! Just by way of clarification, did you mean 4-5 pm GST?

Does anyone know from previous years, the BCL/Mjur magic button will disappear on the same day as MLF or maybe one or two days or even several days later?

I think there was something on this a few pages ago but it seems as though BCL/MJur arrive at around the same time, about a week after the MLF.

Thanks for the encouragement! While it’s true that the button keeps disappearing for 2-3 days, keep in mind that it also disappears for many (not all) of those who get rejected and waitlisted. Looking at the previous years, there seems to be a surprisingly consistent pattern to the button disappearing phenomenon for MLF candidates - the day before the offers are sent out, the button disappears (seemingly simultaneously, but not sure on that) for all the successful applicants. The next day, the successful applicants get their offers. In the days after that, the others are rejected or waitlisted, which sometimes is paired with a disappearing button.

So I’m fairly certain the people who (like me) still have their buttons at this point will be rejected or waitlisted. We will see of course, but I’m not very hopeful.

My MLF 'magic button' hasn't disappeared yet. But tomorrow we'll know! It's a bit past 1pm here, so their office should close in under an hour. Hope there'll be updates before that.

I really do think the significance of the 'magic button' is overplayed: after all, we've seen admits for many for whom it did not disappear, and the vice versa. So if anything at all, I'd see it only as an indication that results are around the corner, and not any indication on what that result actually could be. 1f600

Hoping for the best for all applicants!

Yes, sure, but the button disappearing is a strong indicative that an offer will come. And it'd certainly ease my urge to upload the portal and my email every 2 seconds like a computer addict lol
